Welcome to the new website for The Cobalt Season. We’re glad you stopped by.

So, shall we catch you up? Last year, Holly and I traversed North America and Europe on a sort of pilgrimage, staying in homes, playing house shows, sharing art, conversing ’till all hours of the night, enjoying fine microbrews and wines. What a year.

In Fall of 2006, we moved to San Francisco to ground ourselves for a bit. We wanted to participate in a community of world-changes. Oh, and we were with child. We had our son, Paxton, in our living room just months later…a beautiful, amazing thing. And we’re very much a part of SEVEN and The Relational Tithe, both experiments in truth.

I’ve spent the last several months writing for (and recording) a new album (that is now available for download or purchase!) called In Search of a Unified Theory. It’s been an incredible process and journey to articulate these thoughts and ideas into lyrics and music.

It’s been a wonderful experience having other musicians on the album (and hopefully playing live as well!). I feel like this is a more thought-through record, ideas and music both being a bit more developed.
We’re planning to play 3 Album Release Parties around the Bay in May. We’re also looking at heading to more California cities later in summer. Then we’ll plan a fall trip that will take us out and around the US (all the way to the East Coast again!)

And yes, Pax will be with us. He so wants to meet you all.
